Annual meeting of the Middle East and North Africa region was held in Cairo from the 27th to 29th of April this year. Ambassadors of the region as well as other officials following the Middle Eastern affairs at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in Finland gathered to Marriott Hotel in Cairo to discuss the recent developments in the region.
On top of the internal discussions the delegation visited Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt, where the deputy foreign minister Hamdi Loza received them. Also the distinguished guest speakers, the former foreign minister and dean of American University in Cairo Nabil Fahmy and the President of Signet Institute Angus Blair, gave presentations to the delegation on the economic and political developments in the Middle East.
Fortunately the delegation had a chance to visit the Pyramids in Giza in between the meetings. After intensive discussions for three days the guests enjoyed lunch in lush Al-Azhar Park and visited historical Khan el Khalili Bazaar district.
